About the Author

Janet E. Golden (Gramma Golden) is a retired Registered Nurse and Health Care Educator.  Her forty-three year professional career was mostly spent in nursing administration and healthcare education.  Her profession naturally required of her to teach others how to care for themselves and others.  Janet is a volunteer weekly at her church and participates as a Pen Pal in the prison ministry though church.

As an author, she strives to teach young readers to care for and be responsible stewards of the environment as well as to care for one another.  It is through her voice that the same characters as in her first and second books come alive again in her third book.

After serving eight years on a local school board, Janet understands the importance of all grade levels of education starting with providing a solid foundation at the elementary level.  All three of her books offer parents and teachers the tools with which to teach children how to use best gardening practices, help marine wildlife thrive, strive for following good nutrition habits and treating one another with kindness.

Janet lives in a suburb of Chicago with her husband of fifty-one years.  They have two married children and three grandsons.
