Janet E. Golden (Gramma Golden) is a retired Registered Nurse and Health Care Educator. Her forty-three year professional career was mostly spent in nursing administration and healthcare education. Her profession naturally required her to teach others how to care for themselves and others. Janet regularly attends and teaches Bible Study classes and participates as a Pen Pal in the prison ministry through church.
As an author, she strives to teach young readers to care for and be responsible stewards of the environment as well as to care for one another by displaying kindness and love. It is through her voice that the same characters as in her first, second and third books come alive again in her fourth book.
After serving eight years on a local school board, Janet understands the importance of all grade levels of education starting with providing a solid foundation at the elementary level. All three of her previous books offer parents and teachers the tools to teach children how to use best gardening practices, help marine wildlife thrive, strive to follow good nutrition habits and treating one another with kindness.
Janet lives in a suburb of Chicago with her husband of fifty-five years. They have two married children and three grandsons.
